Monique Blanchard
AYTT Facilitator

Monique came to yoga about ten years ago when she joined a little practice group in her community. She enjoyed the yoga so much that she immediately started studying by herself, but quickly realised that it was not enough.

Monique Blanchard

So, with the support of her husband and two sons, and with a strong desire to share yoga with others, Monique began the AYTT 200 hour weekend program in 2004, travelling monthly to Halifax.

“What an incredible journey” she would say. Coming from a French town and barely speaking English, she had to study twice as hard. But with all the strength of the 'spiritual warrior' within, Monique made it. This was only the beginning!

Since then, she has continuously pursued her study of yoga and has taken several weekend trainings — Yoga for Seniors, Yoga for Kids, Yin Yoga and Amrit Yoga, and she is currently completing her 500 hour teacher training with AYTT.

Since 2005, Monique is owner of her little yoga studio in Caraquet and teaches several classes a week. Teaching gives her the opportunity to share her love for yoga and the chance to meet and discover some wonderful human beings in her community.

Monique will be involved as a trainer in the 2010 program in Moncton, New Brunswick.
