Training in the Kripalu Tradition

Atlantic Yoga Teacher Training (AYTT) has two 200 hour certification programs, providing the guidance and skills necessary for someone to confidently teach beginner yoga classes.

The programs are experiential and holistic in nature and provide trainees with a practical understanding of many basic skills needed to deal with a wide range of ages and physical abilities.

Graduates receive all the benefits of fully registered Kripalu Yoga Teachers, including a one-year membership to KYTA.

AYTT has very experienced staff and is the only recognized training in the Kripalu tradition in Atlantic Canada.

Kripalu Yoga is part of the oldest known yoga tradition, which has archaeological evidence dating back 5,000 years. The Kripalu tradition includes many colourful figures, who helped pioneer and evolve the techniques known today as yoga.

The next 2 x 11 day residential Yoga Teacher Training program takes place March and June 2011 (for a total of 200 hours).

Our Approved Accreditation

AYTT is registered with Yoga Alliance — see our Certificate of Registration.

Graduates are also eligible to join Yoga Atlantic and Yoga Alliance.
